Homestead Update and upcoming Events for 2023

Hello friends!

Happy new year! 2023 is going to be our year, we can feel it! ( yes, yours too! ) We hope you had a lovely time these past holiday weeks and are as hopeful for the new year as we are.

We have some excited changes coming that i cannot wait to share with ya'll!

First, thank you for supporting our family and allowing us to grow, your support blows us away! Thank you to all the wonderful people who create our community.

We have been praying, working, and hammering through obstacles to bring you.....
three things........

A NEW COMMUNITY HANG OUT,  a MICROGREEN CSA and The WALIPINI!

we just dove right in, didnt we? But seriously, this has been a part of our farm plan that we wrote 7 years ago and to see this coming to life is, well, a blessing

Our family was given a chance to purchase land out in Middle Burnt Fork area in Stevensville. We are still working out the details but we are hoping to open to the public for our first farm event during late Spring. This property is a blessing from God. The property contains a pond with trout, a workshop, and space for outdoor events. It needs some love, it was built in the 1930s, but there is joy in the work! We are loyal to the soil and creating this place to be truly magical for all.
We will keep you updated!

The microgreen CSA has been in the works since 2020 and now we are able to properly focus on providing high quality, soil grown microgreens to the community. If you have had our greens, you know the difference! We've been told you can literally feel the love and the taste is out of this world. We are still asking local vendors if they would like to join us but for now we will be providing microgreens and body care shares.

last and definitely not least, probably the coooolest thing andrew has ever built...
the Wallipini build!
This project started in the late summer of 2022 and it is now only hours of being completed. The walipini or an underground geothermal greenhouse, will grow our tropical plants, starters, herbs, and more. There has been some hiccups and supply issues with this project (but really, what project goes smoothly??) which caused us to fall behind. We were also involved in a terrible car accident that has totalled our work truck and sent us to the doctors but we are SO LUCKY to be alive. We are here for a reason!
Anyways, we wanted it to be done in Nov, but that did not happen. So the new plan is to have it operational before the end of winter/ early spring. Andrew has continued to finish the roof during this lovely weather but slowly. Better to be safe, especially on the icy roof.
Do you know the best part of building with your own hands? We realize what it takes and how to do it. Once this walipini is completed, we are building another but for the community! A community walipini that is year round, can you imagine? (: The Cob party is still in the works, if interested please email or call us. Please be aware, sometimes cell reception is funny on our property causing us to miss calls. Email or even direct message on instagram is better.

Thank you for reading this far! If you wanna chit chat, do not hesitate to send us an email. Or come by and see us on January 21st at the Ravalli Fairgrounds from 10am to 4pm. We will have microgreens and body care for yall. Also, we will be with some awesome local vendors and their goods!

sending love and a prosperous new year,
the Jensens
